getting started – crossfit u starter program

CrossFit is an amazingly effective way to improve your overall fitness level using a wide range of functional exercises that you actually use out in the world. In Crossfit U, we will be teaching you how to build a strong fitness foundation which will prepare you both mentally and physically for a life long career in Bootcamp classes or our Crossfit Classes.

New CrossFit members will want to begin with the U’s 2 week program. This is where you will work with a coach to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements. Your Coach will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level (Beginner to Elite) and progress you at the proper pace for you. Following your initial 9 sessions you may then choose to continue in The Academy or progress into our Bootcamp or CrossFit group classes.



The emphasis of “Crossfit U” is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. We are going to be hammering technique—both to ensure your safety—and success at the next level. We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity. We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non technical and progressively more technical.

Making progress

Once the foundations are introduced, “Crossfit U” will continually progress to expose you to our movement curriculum. Movement techniques will be drilled as well as a progressive introduction to the intensity levels that are inherent in our CrossFit classes.

CrossFit South Denver is a community. We’re here to help you get fitter and stronger, and we expect that as you get comfortable, you’ll help other people get fitter and stronger. This is not your average globo gym — you can’t be anonymous here. We’ll be keeping tabs on your progress and are always available to help you design your training and nutrition to achieve optimal results.

Crossfit U” courses begin the first Tuesday of the month, and run for three weeks. Classes run in order.Classes build on each other. If you are not able to begin at the start of the month, then email us so we can get you caught up. Private one on one sessions can be scheduled at private session rates.
