Monique

As a Denver native, I grew up with a relatively active life style. If I wasn’t playing an organized

sport I was outside running around with the neighborhood kids. I dabbled a bit in volleyball,

softball, cheerleading, dance, and soccer. I didn’t find my grove in sports until I started cross-

country and track and field in high school. This eventually lead to me running collegiately for

Chadron State College.

My journey with CrossFit began when my journey with competitive running ended. My aunties

gifted me a membership to CrossFit South Denver in June of 2014 and I haven’t looked back

since. I fell in love with the sport of CrossFit because of the consistent challenges of each WOD,

the idea of the unknown, and the competitive nature of the sport. I chose to stay at CrossFit

South Denver because of the accepting community, the thoroughness of the coaches, and the

push that each athlete gives to each other.

I decided to obtain my L1 and Kids certificate because I enjoy watching individuals grow as

athletes, and as healthier human beings. I take pride in installing confidence into youth and

helping adults realize they are capable of pushing past their limits. I honestly love sharing my

passion for fitness and genuinely enjoy getting to know each athlete on a more personal level. I

believe CrossFit will be a constant in my life and I could not be more excited about that.
