Amazing gym. There is no substitute for a great coach/owner and South Denver is fortunate to have Kyle Cook. I am in healthcare, and speaking with Kyle is a refresher course in human anatomy/physiology. In my stressful life, I cherish the time I get to spend within those walls getting better.

With over 13 years of experience, Kyle Cook is a seasoned Strength and Conditioning coach and the driving force behind CrossFit South Denver. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Oklahoma State University, Kyle’s educational background extends to biology, human nutrition, and physics. Growing up with a Gerontology professor as a mother, he developed a profound understanding of health-conscious practices from a young age.

Kyle’s coaching journey began with two impactful years at Oklahoma State University’s offseason conditioning room, where he contributed to the success of back-to-back NCAA Cross Country National Champions. During his time with Oklahoma State football, Kyle had the privilege of working under renowned Strength and Conditioning coach Rob Glass for a semester, further enhancing his skills and expertise.

His passion and expertise led him to CrossFit South Denver, where he has been the head coach for over 11 years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his clients and community. Many of his clients, some of whom have been with him for more than a decade, trust Kyle and his expertise to guide them toward their fitness goals.

In an industry where many gyms struggle to last five years, Kyle stands out with over a decade of consistent coaching. Unlike newcomers with “new ideas,” Kyle offers a wealth of experience, focusing on proven methods and injury prevention. He understands that not everyone can spend hours at the gym in these hectic times. Combining his love for people, his passion for strength, and his extensive experience, Kyle developed a nine-month program that can be done on the go or at the gym. Designed for all levels, this program is now integrated into the Tuesday and Thursday 5:40 pm classes, with a new Friday 5:40 pm time slot. The program aims to grow your strength base and ground you in the fundamental lifts.
